Anthony: Hi Brandon, thanks for having me on your show.
Brandon: Thanks for coming, Anthony. Can you tell us a bit about what you do as a creative coach?
Anthony: Of course. As a creative coach, I help individuals and teams unlock their creative potential, overcome creative blocks, and achieve their creative goals. I work with people in a variety of industries, including art, writing, music, design, and more.
Brandon: That sounds interesting. How do you go about helping people unlock their creative potential?
Anthony: Well, everyone is unique, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. But generally, I start by helping people identify their strengths and areas for growth, as well as any limiting beliefs or fears that might be holding them back. Then we work together to develop strategies and techniques to overcome those obstacles and unleash their creativity.
Brandon: Can you give us an example of a creative block and how you helped someone overcome it?
Anthony: Sure. I once worked with a writer who was struggling with writer's block. She had been working on a novel for years and had hit a wall. She felt like she had run out of ideas and had lost her passion for the project. We started by examining her creative process and identifying areas where she was getting stuck. We discovered that she had become overly self-critical and was second-guessing every sentence she wrote. We worked on shifting her mindset and helping her embrace imperfection and uncertainty. We also explored different writing exercises and prompts to help her break out of her routine and find new inspiration. Over time, she was able to rekindle her passion for writing and finish her novel.
Brandon: That's really impressive. How do you help people maintain their creative momentum and stay motivated?
Anthony: That's a great question. It can be challenging to stay motivated and inspired, especially when working on long-term projects. I encourage people to set achievable goals, celebrate their successes, and take breaks when they need to recharge. I also encourage people to seek out new experiences and perspectives, whether it's through travel, reading, or trying new hobbies. It's important to keep our minds open and curious to fuel our creativity.
Brandon: Thank you, Anthony, for sharing your insights and experiences with us. How can people get in touch with you if they're interested in working with you?
